There is no such thing as "the best script". For instance, for me my own script is the best, as it does exactly what I want how I want, and nothing more. The only way to get that is to do it yourself. No prefab script can ever be perfect for you. Therefor, saying some script - which doesn't even work properly - is the best is complete bullocks.
Secondly - there's such a thing as taste - what one likes, the other hates and vv. so there is only "what I like the best" and not "the best".
Thirdly - these forums are to help people write their own scripts. If your script you downloaded is broken, we are not gonna download it, read throuh all the code and fix it. That's the author's job. If he doesn't wanna provide support for his script, he should not have released it to begin with. Go bug him, see if he will fix it. If he doesn't, then you can do three things:
1] go back to an older mIRC version where the script worked (if such a version exists...)
2] spend a few months learning the basics and advanceds of mIRC scripting and fix it yourself
3] get another script.
