I had that problem, and i reinstalled windows XP, that solved it. but after 2 days the error accured again, i tryed this for 5 times or somthing, then i installed windows 2000 instead, i think the security system in win XP corupt the text somhow, i cant find out what cosing the error, but it happened even when i didnt have SP 1 installed, so it dont have to do with that.. so i cant say what cosing it.. if you open the mirc editor and script, then the curuption will be there after like 10 minutes "if you scripting". so its somthing in mirc when you edit the files that trigger it.. strange if you think of that windows 2000 is almost the same as windows XP, its based on the same system.. so the only way to fix it is to install windows, i tryed all fonts in windows, and cant find the one that have the strange chars in it, so its not a default font in windows..
