I dont remember seeing these listed before so here goes:

1) Address Book --> Whois Tab. When I whois myself, mirc does NOT show all the characters properly from the name field. I have the following info in my names field (stored in a variable if that matters):

http://www.geocities.com/landonsandor/whois-bug.html

When I /whois myself from the tab, I get:

£ørÐ ø| my øwn |a|e & Ðes|iny

The bug is that my computer DOES rcognize those symbols but the whois tab does not.

2) URL List bug. I can no longer right click and use the Send To option. It's still there yes, but does not function. When I click it, nothing happens. I can still use things like add/edit/save/etc so it's not the whole menu, just the one option. Ive tried it with 2 diff channels and NOTHING was sent to either

*Edited - stupid me forgot to put the page there so it WOULDNT download a pic (for those who are download conscious)

Kewl, would be nice to see if it's me or not smile If it works for you, Ill try a fresh instal (no scripts) and see what's what. BTW, I didnt know they made a 98b *snicker*

1 is not a bug. Some fonts have characters 128-159, some don't. It's best to just not use them, since mIRC's default text font (Fixedsys) dosen't have them either.

Interesting - I didnt think the /whois tab text was fixedsys cause it didnt LOOK like it was using it to me tho I DO know that when you first load mirc it uses fixedsys for all it's window default fonts (channels, query etc)

Para - thanks for comfirmation. Did you do it with a clean mirc or script? Just wondering is all (mine's scripted on, but scripted on by me so I know there's no maliscious coding going on) smile You think it's an OS related issue?

I did it using the scripts i normally use (all custom made), but over the next couple of days i have planned to set up a clean copy and test a few diff things on that box. A couple of my scripts dont seem to be cooperating on 95, but nothing that should effect this and the other 95 oddity we discussed before. Rght now i'm inclined towards it being an OS issue, I'll keep you posted Landon.

*perk* *chompmunch* ty Landon smile

did quick test on 95b with vanilla mIRC, clean install... same prob with favs as we discussed on another thread, ditto with url/send to both channel and nick. /me officially blames win95b. now to figure out what it doesnt like about a couple of my scripties

With the URL issue, if you change the "On Send" setting in the Options/Catcher dialog, does it solve the problem?
