Forums mIRC Help I NEED HELP FOR REGISTERING NICK

I can't join a channel because I have to register my nick. How do I do this ? Can anyone help me with this?

Try /nickserv help register

It should tell you what you need to do.

Well every network has a different way to register nicknames, so other than saying read what /nickserv help register says, all I can really say is try joining #mirc or #help and ask there.

its almost always:

/nickserv
/msg nickserv
/ns

then after it..

register <password> <e:mail>

note the <>'s are not needed, and the e:mail should be an accurate one as most servers are not verifying an account with an e:mail address.

Thanks! now i've registered my nick so I guess i can enter every channel I want. But some of the channels still say in the first screen "Cannot join channel, channel allows registered nicknames only (+R)".

How is this possible? I've already registered right? What do I wrong ?

druid, no offense but i missing the logic of your post. the user already said they got their nick registered, and Poppy asked if they had identified to it (which would have been why he couldnt enter even after registering) So what was the point in repeating some help register commands?
