Is redistribution of mIRC with a custom INI file for a private server instead of the standard one possible and/or allowed?

I would like users to be able to download the file off my server, install it like a normal copy of mIRC, and have only our custom server listed in the INI file.

Please advise as I could not find an answer on the site.

I think that means no.

Converting for example mIRC.exe, which is in machine language, to code, so it can be modified.

You can only redistribute the full, unmodified installer executable.

If you wish, you could also have your own installer that would look for the mIRC directory and install your files there. But you can /not/ distribute mIRC in any other way than the full installer.

Theres an idea maybe for future versions of mIRC.. a mIRC installer that automatically finds the mIRC directory (or maybe lists all directories mIRC is installed in if theres more than one installation? That you can checkmark which to install to and have multiple?), puts whatever files there, and then performs certain mIRC commands to install it (IE automatic script loading)

..kinda like Winamp's installer.
