Forums mIRC Help hotlinks don't work

ok my mirc is messed up. normally you can double click a channel, and it joins, or double click a nickname and it opens a query window, but my mirc won't do that. nothing links to anything like it should be. please help.

In mIRC Options -> Mouse do you have the boxes filled in?

Yes I have:

status: /lusers
query: /whois $$1
channel: /channel
nick list: /query $$1
notify list: /whois $$1
message: /whois $$1

Do:
/remote off
then try it.

nope still doesn't work.

is the channel name in the text not surrounded by anything? Are you trying to click <(#mychannel)> rather than just #mychannel Mirc may not recognize it is a channel, and not give you the hotlinking option.

Nope it won't click on #channel with nothing around it.

if you right click it, does the channel popup come up with join, list users, etc?
