Forums mIRC Help closing dcc session??

ok i'm a newbie in mirc..i'm using it to download videos, and i've figured out how to actually get to the video, but now i've ecountered a problem,when i get the video i want i am queued, that i undestand, however when that happens i get something along the lines of " closing idle connection in 30 sec" then DCC session is closed..what exactly does this mean?does it mean i've lost my connection to the person i'm trying to get a file and i therefor need to find the video somewhere else, or does it not mean anything so i should just ignore it, and when my time comes the accept window will still pop up?please help, i'm so confused!!

against my better judgement: closing the dcc session isnt the same as removing you from the queue, as long as you stay in the channel you will prolly stay on the queue.

In addition to what ParaBrat said, mIRC is first and foremost a chat program. It's ok for downloading small-ish files, and even then only from someone you trust. If you want anything more than that, perhaps you should use a dedicated p2p network such as KaZaA.

If you're going to use Kazaa, then at least get Kazaa Lite. No spyware, less ads, less potential to be trojan'ed and backdoor'ed and virus'ed and all that creepy stuff.

i do most of my downloading through kazaa, but theres one particular video i'm trying to get that i can't get on kazaa, and after that i'll probably never use mirc to get a video again.i do realize that i'm risking downloading a virus, but i'm going through the videopimp channel so i think i should be okay.well thanks everyone for your help, and your concern!!
