The default location for your chat logs is a LOGS subfolder beneath the folder where mirc.ini is located. For your current mIRC this shows where that is, by pasting this command into any editbox:
//echo -a result: $logdir
If you've moved to a different computer since 2000, it depends on whether you've made backups of that folder or whether you've copied it along to newer computers.
