Otherwise let me know which server you are trying to access and I'll try and tell you what settings you need.

Just letting you know that arcor is not a good choise of telling others to connect to it since it is not stable at all lately... at your place I would be giving out DALnet's Servers Page and Edward_K's Servers Page.
