I have a firewall, working on a network, i go through the wall and into the host computer which has the firewall. I tried manually openening ports 1024 and 1025, but people still cannot connect to me through the fserve. I'm running out of ideas and i'm wondering is it even possible for me to have the fserve work on this computer? I can't run mirc on the host comp.

i dunno what your setup is like but mine works perfectly by port forwarding things thru my router ....... again im not sure what your dilemna is ..... are u sure you are mapping to the correct ip inside your network? i know it sounds like im trying to make fun but really im not simple things like that can be over looked and its an honest mistake ......

Well, i had ports 1024 and 1025 set to 127.0.0.1, XP only asks you for the IP to send it to. I said 127.0.0.1

well if u set that as the forwarded ports on your host machine that is your problem ....... u need to set it to your networks ip address in the host machine your forwarding from ..... otherwise your simply forwarding ports right into your host machine using that setup ur describing
