Forums mIRC Help /join not working

I had some problems with my PC recently. I have now got it working again, but somehow all my default settings for mIRC got wiped, although the .bak files are still there. Unfortunately the .bak files have "n1=", "n2=" etc at the beginning of each line, so they are not working. Also, I am connecting to twitch, but once I get the connection the /join command doesn't work - it just doesn't do anything.

You are most likely suffering the fix from mIRC 7.34, try using /!join instead of /join, if it works, you are wrongly overriding the /join command with an alias.
You should ask about your .bak file problem in a different thread... but if the content of the file is the same as what you had before (as in, a well structured INI files), renaming them as INI files will work, you're having another, different issue if that does not work for you.
