how would i found out who changed the nick? i wanted to build a script so that if my nick is changed the script will know who and kill them off the network. i know to see my name changed i use $newnick

or would i need a variable that is my nick?

If they change your nick they most likely used operserv or something like that and there is no way to tell you didn't change it.
