I just need to kno how to find and download stuff.

I'm going to throw my 2 cents your way and say that the mIRC client's primary usage is not for filesharing. It is for chatting. If you are wanting to download various filetypes...why not use a program that is specifically designed for that purpose i.e. KaZaA, iMesh, or Morpheus (depending whether morpheus is up and running due to legal disputes) just to name a few.

At the risk of being accused of lecturing, you should be aware that regardless of the client you use (be it mIRC, kaaza or whatever) when you download files from strangers you run a big risk of becoming infected with a trojan/virus... which you will then proceed to unknowingly send along to more users (and in some cases also to everyone in your email addy book) until you are hunted down and kicked off the network.
