Forums mIRC Help Minimizing Mirc

I've used Mirc on and off for over 15yrs, and finally realized I should pay for the privilege. But since then, it upgraded and now I've lost the option to minimize or close mirc. I don't like being stuck on mirc until i disconnect - I want to be able to minimize it to the task bar if I want to look something up online. Did I do something wrong with the set up? Any help would be appreciated('cause i'm kinda a dumbass when it comes to this!)

When you say you have lost the option to close or minimize mIRC, do you mean that you cannot see the menubar (which has the File, View and other menu items) at the top of the mIRC window? If so, you may be in Full Screen mode. You can move your mouse to the top of the screen and the mIRC menubar will appear. You can then select the View menu and then the Full Screen menu item to exit that mode.

I can see the mirc menu bar (file etc)...what i can't see is the windows bar...top right, where i should be able to minimize or close. Any thoughts on that? (and btw, i so do appreciate your answer :))

It sounds like you may be in Full Screen mode. If you select the View menu in the menubar and then select the Full Screen option, to toggle the setting, does that help?

hello. I have 2 pcs and one when I minimize, put down on the task bar and gets another Mirc icon next to the clock, volume ... in the lower right, in Windows forever.
How do you change this?

Not sure what you are trying to make mIRC go into the tray when you minimize or to prevent it from doing it. Your description is vague.

Tools -> Options -> Display -> Options -> Tray -> [check] OR [uncheck] Place mIRC in tray when minimized -> OK -> OK
