If you change the font of the treebar but use "set as default", it simply doesn't do anything

I may be mistaken, but i thought set as default, was for the type of window you were in. ie channel windows, chat windows etc.. If this is the case, there is only one of treebar type. If this is true, then the default button (i would think) should not be there; you should just have option of ok..

Let me know if my thinking is not correct (thanks as always)

Well, "set as default" is supposed to apply the font setting for any place where a font is involved, but the option to set it for that particular type of window also exists (right click a channel icon and select font for example, you will see both options)

"Set as default" is grayed out when modifying the treebar font, so I don't understand how you are checking it.

My bad, I meant "use default"

"Use default" means take what the current default is and use those settings INSTEAD of what you put in the boxes above. It's a way to return to the default settings. So of course that wouldn't change anything if you use that setting.
