Also a command line option has been created that makes mIRC avoid all use of the registry. If this switch is used, mIRC stores registry information in the mirc.ini file in a [user] section, and does not modify registry to support irc:// links etc. This comes handy when you want to run mIRC from a memory stick or similar device.

Don't want to appear a total noob here - but what is this switch? Is this a Vista thing or can I make mIRC install without using the Windows registry on a memory stick without any issues?

Thanks in advance

I did try it, and it didn't quite achieve what I was looking for - but, after playing with the mirc.ini file, I managed it smile

Many thanks for the help laugh
