how can mirc be recording my time when it's 2 hours behind the system clock. the date is correct, but the time is 2 hours behind - almost as if it's reading a different timezone. my clock on the tray is correct, so it can't be reading the time from it.

where does mirc get it's time information? (and i'm talking about the /time command. logs are correctly getting the time).

thanks.

It sounds like you are using a script that is faulty. mIRC gets its time from the system clock, but if your script is manipulating it incorrectly, the time will be displayed wrong.

As mentioned, this is probably some script, further proven by the fact that /time is not an internal mIRC command.

It could also be that the server you're connected has a server-sided alias "time" and the server is two timezones westward.

If it *is* a script, maybe it's subtracting $daylight somewhere instead of adding it.

To check if it's a script or if it's the server replying with its own time, type /raw time
