I've noticed that the more recent versions of Mirc seem to automatically remove the spaces from messages. It used to not do this with previous versions. But with the new one I have, it removes all the spaces from messages. So if someone types h *space* *space* *Space* e. Their message will show up as h *Space* e. Mirc just gets rid of the other spaces for some reason.
It's becoming a problem for me, since I've been in a group discussing morse code and translating it, and my client just removes the spaces people put in. Is there any way to turn this off, so it shows the spaces they type?

Plain mIRC does not remove the extra spaces. If you are using any script which modifies the display of text in channels (eg a theme script), the nature of mIRC's scripting language will cause the extra spaces to be removed. You can solve the problem by removing your scripts, or by typing the following command when you don't want those extra spaces removed:

/remote off

-genius_at_work
