Hi, I have just installed the latest Mirc along with Omenserve. Everything works fine apart from one slight problem. All the servers i.e. Undernet are gone. I have looked in the folder and the server ini is still there. How do I get it back to the right place.

1) With mIRC open, type //echo -a $mircdir
2) Make a note of the directory returned.
3) Close mIRC
4) Open the directory in Windows
5) Locate the defaults directory off of that location
6) Locate the server.ini file in the defaults directory
7) Copy it to the directory that you noted in step 2.
8) Launch mIRC

This will restore the default servers list, but any customization that you may have made will be lost.

Thanks for the reply RusselB. I think I might have done it wrong coz it didn't work, however it did give me an idea which worked, so I'll mention it here so that others might use it. I installed another Mirc in a different loacation, opened the server.ini and pasted into the the one in c:\mirc. I ran Mirc again and there they were. Looks like all the ini files have been wiped clean after installing Omenserve. Maybe someone could write a script to stop it doing that. Far beyond me though.

While I don't use Omenserve, I've heard of so many problems with trying to get it to work with updates to mIRC and/or custom scripts, that I think I could retire if I had a penny for every problem that I've heard of.

Actually, all the previous versions of Omenserve are a pain to install, but 2.71 I think is the easiest yet. But I didn't expect it to wipe ini's. No problem really as the simple fix is what I previously wrote.
