Forums Connection Issues Ping out issue

My friend connects to SwiftIRC and 3 minutes after he's connected he pings out. He's tried connecting to different servers but the same thing happens on all of them. Does anyone know what the problem might be?

If he's getting a Software caused connection abort error in his status when he disconnects, tell him to read this.

Summary: there's way too many things that could cause his ping out problem.

tell your friend to contact his ISP ( internet service provider ) and request for interleaving to be turned off.

interleaving improves ya ping and latency


NOTE: if your net is unstable this wont help that at all.
