Greetings,

I have 2 laptops. One my bot is on. One is for me to chat on.

On my chat laptop, I log into freenode and am connected to a freenode server. I then type /join #thechannel

Nothing happens. Although my bot, which is in #thechannel sees me come into the chatroom, and everyone else in the chatroom sees me. However on my chat laptop..that window never opened.

Any ideas?

Is this occurring on a completely clean install of mIRC with no scripts running? Please tell us a little more about the scenario.. are you connected through a bnc, by any chance?

What network is this on?

Also please type the following in mIRC and paste the results here:

//echo -a $com(0) $dll(0) $script(0) $md5($mircexe,2) $nopath($script(1))

Do you see errors in Status window?
I have this too sometimes, due to an OS problem: * Error creating window, and I'm on the channel but I don't have a window.
Also, check in mIRCs menu, Window, and see if it's there. If it is, something made it hidden (alike window -h).
