Version 6.31, Vista Home premium, default is logging on.
I had logged on as follows, and notice the gap in the log, I had a 2hr chat sesson with in this time frame. It was the same for all the logs. All logs showed no chat, a gap in time. I didnt lose the logs, just a gap in the logs?

Do you have network-based logging on? If so, is it possible the server you connected to reported the wrong network name and the session's logs are stored under a different network?

Yes, network logging is enabled. I dont show any other logs created. I do have all com/exe/dll/scipt disabled also. I just find this wierd. Like the twilight zone.

If your computer is shutdown incorrectly whilst mIRC is running there's a good chance you'll lose parts of your logs. mIRC could help prevent this by flushing more often, or you could try disabling Write Caching on the drive in question.

Good point, but, I had'nt shutdown during this session. From the time I logged on till I ping-timedout mIRC remained open, I then autojoined and the logs began to start logging again.

Check both the log folder in your mIRC folder and the one in Vista's Roaming mIRC folder. See if it ended up going to the wrong place somehow.
