mIRC Should support DAT files(creating, using, etc.), if you disapprove of this say why and if u know a way, tell me another way to run DAT files...
and this was not a topic that i could find in the search so...

.dat is a generic extension, not a file format. Every program that saves data in a DAT file picks its own format to do so. This is not the same as INI files (for example), which have a standard format.

You can already manipulate any file using mIRC's existing commands and identifiers.

As I said, there is no standard for DAT files, so there's no standard for storing pictures (or anything else) inside of them.

The Binary File commands (/help Binary Files) already allow you to implement your own arbitrary format for storing data. There's no reason for mIRC to do it.
