Forums General Discussion nnscript alternatives?

well until new version comes out (nnscript for mirc 6.31) im sticking with invision script (i think its the nnscript rival http://i-n-v-i-s-i-o-n.com)
zati script is nice too but it's french (http://zatiscript.com)

btw what combination of mirc/scripts/addons... are people using?

i normaly use mirc+nnscript+fish... people talk about upp script too but its outdated i think

I dont use any prebuilt scripts

Just have plain mirc, fish and my own scripts - they aren't very good but do what I need them to do

There are a lot of scripting sites where you can download scripts for mIRC (especially if you're no good or not interested in writing your own).

Personally, I only use scripts that I have written or have been written by people I know & trust.

The best script is the one you write yourself.

That is, if you have the ability to. On a side note, NNScript kept breaking on me.

I don't know why, so I just came back to mIRC. I'm glad I did, and I like mIRC make over.

Ask your self "what do i need from a script", then look on that list, i would guess it's shorter then you think, if i remember right nn script "as many others" have 1000 functions, how ever i normal user maybe use 5 of the functions in a script, ether look at a script page for addons that make you happy and working as you want, or you can start try other scripts and see if you find someone you like, but ask about the script ppl using, every user have it's own things they want a script to do for them, as for me i make my own, if i cant do a function i want, then i ask here or somewhere else for help to solve my problem
