Forums Feature Suggestions /topic extension

If it were possible for /topic to have a switch which made it only add to the end of the text already in the topic instead of replacing it (for adding an additional comment, etc.), it would save some time and be very handy--for me, at least. To my knowledge, nothing like this currently exists. But I may be wrong. Any thoughts?

If you double click in the middle of a channel, a dialog box will appear. The topic is at the top and you can edit it. I think thats what you mean.
