Forums Bug Reports mIRC doesn't save logs in Vista

mIRC 6.21 doesn't create log files in Windows Vista. The file names are shown in mIRC but they do not appear in the mirc\logs folder.

The way to go around this:
1) Go to mIRC folder (probably it's C:\Program Files\mIRC)
2) Right-click on logs and choose Properties
3) Choose Security, click on Edit...
4) Add, enter Everyone
5) Tick on Full Control
6) OK > OK

It started saving log files after this.

Maybe mIRC instalation could do this in the next version?

5) Tick on Modify (that works as well, and mIRC doesn't need full control for that)

The logs are saved in mIRC's Compatibility folder.
If you go to C:\Program Files\mIRC you'll see a button on the top called "Compatibility Files". The only reason it does this is because mIRC is running "virtualized" so any writes to Program Files are redirected to C:\Users\Username\AppData\VirtualStore\ProgramFiles\mIRC.

mIRC will need to run as Administrator or UAC will need to be shut off in order to have it write directly to the folder.
