I'd be pretty neat to be able to move channels around (drag 'n drop style) on the SwitchBar, so you could dynamically re-order your channels. Purely for vanity, but sometimes for sanity. I'd imagine it would be a programming challenge as a lot of the code related to the switch bar would have to be re-worked. *shrugs* I suppose it is worth mentioning (if it hasn't already ben mentioned).

Must you belittle every new user because they happen to have overlooked the search engine? This seems to be getting habit-forming, if you have nothing constructive to say then spare us your mentality.

NMILFORD: As TheRat mentioned, this has been brought up before, though in the meantime mIRC does have two options for the positioning of buttons - they being in order of when windows are opened and in order of window type, where Status is first then channels then privates then the other miscellaneous windows such as channel list, URL list, etc.

In addition, for your information, the mIRC forums do have a search engine, where you can backtrack to previous discussions that may have occurred. One mistake that TheRat made though is that not all forums have this feature. I am a member of about 20 forums and about 6, including this one has a search engine.

Yes, the poster could have used the search feature here, but that wasnt an excuse to be rude and insult them. They are obviously new here and hadnt yet familiarized themselves with the options we have. Telling someone it has been suggested before and how to see the other threads so they can read them (and encourage them to learn more about this forum) helps them, but adding something designed only to needlessly humiliate or embarass them sure doesnt do much for them. We're all new at something, and none of us knows everything...and we'd not learn much if we got put down for politely asking.

And to put shame to the rat. I did exactly as he said (following everything he said) and no result came except for this thread. Therefore your ability to show instruction is impaired, as with your sense of judgement.
Next time give complete instructions. The one step you forgot, was to tell him that you must have it set to check all forums.
