hello guys im new here and i need help.
i was a frequent user of mIRC before, until some day i had a problem with my pc. i don't know much of what went wrong, but a friend of mine who understands this kind of stuff helped me. he formated (dunno if that's what you call it there; english is not my first language) the hard drive erasing everything. now i have a new firewall and a router.
but now i cant use mIRC! this is the message i get when i try to connect
* Unable to connect to server (Software caused connection abort)
the usual pop window of the firewall asking whether the connection should be allowed doesn't even appear, i doubt its a firewall problem. so, what could it be? i know its kinda vague but i really have no idea why this is happening and help would really be appreciated. thanks.
