If someone say on a channel #Ga. or #ok. and then you try to go to the channel with a double click, mirc just go to #chan

You mean it ignores the full-stop? If so that's intentional I believe. 9 times out of 10 if a channel name ends with a punctuation character it's because it's been used in a sentence and isn't meant to be part of the name.

Just trying it out now it seems strange that only some punctuation characters are treated this way:
! ? ) ] } > ' " \ / will be treated as part of the channel name.
. , : ; won't be.

Perhaps there is a bug. Although personally I'd prefer it if none of those were counted as part of the channel name.

Yes, maybe its intentional but as you said, why some ponctuation characters are treated as part of channel name and other not ?
The best will be a option to set characters witch will be considering as a part of channel name or not but #Ga. should be treated as #Ga. ( the same with other characters )

Regarding ), ], }, > etc this is intentional. As of v6.17, if a closing bracket is preceded (somewhere in the line) by the opening one, it is not treated as part of the channel name (compare //echo -a {Some #channel} vs //echo -a Some #channel}). mirc's behaviour with ! and ? does look odd though.

I rather that mirc treat all characters as part of channel name in all case ( bracket before or not ) or a least an option for that because i know when a #channel. is send, most of the time its a ponctuation characters but for other, ( #Ga] for exemple ) i dont think it is

it's doesnt really annoying me, i just find it strange.

I do think that punctuation, when found at the END of a channel name, should not be considered part of the channel name by default. However, if anyone deals with channels that have a punctuation mark at the end and wants to have the punctuation included "by default," then you can always use a HOTLINK script to override the default removal of the punctuation.

I think it would be good if it was made optional. "Remove punctuation from channel names when double clicking" or something similar.

Also, when right clicking it should give you the option of joining either the channel with punctuation or the one without.

I think most networks dont allow those characters in a channel name. You can make your own hotlink as well.

I just tried a bunch on Undernet and they all worked fine.
