This is a college and Some person has installed this program
on some computers it's not suppose to be on. I am unable to remove it through the add/remove or regedit. These are windows 2000 computers. Can you give me the method to remove MIRE.

Highlight & Delete.

But the 'Add/Remove programs' from the control panel should work.

If you can't uninstall it normally and it's doing other suspicious things (ie. running on startup) then it's most likely one of several trojans/viruses that install mIRC to spread and allow remote users access to your machine. If that's the case then you should check these two threads here and here
