Forums mIRC Help Whats a VOICE?!?!

I need some help...im new at this mIRC thing so i dont really know what im doing.... when im searching for things I always get this messege

what is that? can anyone tell me please?

All voice means is that you have to have a + next to your name. ORIGINALLY it meant you had voice to talk in a moderated channel (channel mode +m is engaged), but these days, a + next to your name (channel mode +v) means everything from a regular, helper, warez bot, hacker, woman, man, child, op in training, etc etc tec. As you can see it means many different things and can only be set by 1) A channel op 2) channel services on your network (if they have that).

Well, as simply as I can try to put it:

Voice mode (not actually being able to speak with your vocal chords) is something another in the channel gives you. You can't set it yourself and if the operators (those with a @ before their name) or half-operators (on some networks they have this mode in the channel which has a % before the name in the nicklist) donb't give you that channel mode, there is nothing you can do. So in other words I cant use mIRC?

no, you CAN use mirc to chat with, you just cant do what you want to do in THAT CHANNEL until you're given voice. If your sole mission in downloading mirc was to do filesharing, you downloaded mirc for the wrong reason

Is there other things i can use to download movies and games?

Im sure there are, but as one who no longer does that, you'd have to see if anybody else could offer you opinions as I have none to offer.

Can't say about movies, but there are many sites where you can download games. One that I use a fair bit is Tucows I don't know the exact address for the games, as they are categorized from the main site.
