This might be a bit confusing, but I will try my best to explain it.

I open up a connection to server A, but I do not connect, I then use /server -m to open up a connection to Server B, if Server B connects, mIRC crashes of some unknown reason; the reason though it crashes is if I have at least one unconnected server open, and I try to connect with another it hates it.
I must be connected on all connections before I open up another connection, otherwise mIRC crashes.

It doesn't crash when I use /server -m, it actually connects to the server, mIRC crashes, my HDD goes insane, and there is massive system lag.

I found out one day, if I leave mIRC for a period of time (something like 10minutes-1hr) it 'uncrashes' and returns to normal.

I have tested this with both 6.01, 6.02, and 6.03, with and without scripts loaded in mIRC, fresh and old copies; all returning the same results.

These are my system stats:

Windows XP Home Edition (5.1 - 2600)
Memory: 100/128MB (78.13%)
CPU Info: 1-Intel Pentium 4, 2019MHz, 512KB (14% Load
Hard Disks: C:\: 55.9/12.75GB
Connection/Network Interfaces: (#1 (Realtek RTL8139 Family PCI Fast Ethernet NIC - Packet Scheduler Miniport (100Mb/s) 17.08MB In, 0.31MB Out) #2(WAN (PPP/SLIP) Interface (50Kb/s) 6.01MB In, 0.70MB Out))

If anyone has any info relating to this, I will greatly apprieciate it, I have had this issue since I got this new computer and that has been about a year.

When that statistic == 512MB then you won't have any problems. I think you are lucky that XP even boots with only 128MB.

That was only at that time since I had a few IE windows open, normally I only have around 50mb taken up, and you're not going to say mIRC needs a whole 78mb of RAM to load are you?

XP works perfectly fine with 128mb, as I said before, I normally only have around 50mb used, and that includes running mIRC + IE + wmp + apache/mysql/php webserver + personal ftp + many other things, so I think I'm doing alright.

FYI, yes the problem still occurs when I only am using 50mb of RAM.

windows xp minimum system requirements calls for minimum of 128 mb ram and i dont see how its even possible ur only using 50mb of ram while running it ..... along with all them other listed programs ur claiming to be on at the same time ......

try reinstalling a base mirc and see if that happens again ...... if it does get more ram ...... because u have one of two things causeing this cause thats not an issue on any machine i have windows xp on with 384mb + of ram

It doesn't. Not all the time anyway. Here's an example:

I run a mIRC bot in a channel that is able to provide full channel and server defence though most of these scripts are currently turned off as the room already has an "official" bot that provides that protection. The only scripts the bot runs are those relevant to a unique script support function I wrote in. This bot (with mIRC) uses between 3 - 5MB RAM at all times, which I consider good.

I also run my own script. It has all the usual stuff + one or two things that most scripters can't be bothered with like a hardcore channel central dialogue and many functions that use hash tables to store information. Because mIRC V6.03 leaks memory like a sieve when running hash tables the script often chews upto 55MB RAM though usually between 30 - 40 MB, which is still huge. Both run the most recent versions of mIRC, it just depends what you do with it.

See this noting the 4th from the bottom (my bot) and the last entry (my chat script).

These are my current memory stats

Memory Usage: (Usage: 67/128MB (52.34%)) ¤ (|||||-----) ¤ Virtual Memory: (Usage: 67/2048MB (3.26%)) ¤ (----------) ¤ Page File: (Usage: 110/308MB (35.8%)) ¤ (||||------)

I am running all the things I listed above, but this time two IE windows, and Windows runs quite fine.
