Hi there,

I leave my machine running over night, and I also leave mIRC running.

Recently more often that not I return to my machine in the morning to discover that mIRC has returned a runtime error of: "Runtime error 203 at [hexcode]" or "Runtime error 216 at [hexcode]"

For Example:

When I click okay, the box goes away, and mIRC spews all the msgs and logs it has queued up for the past few hours between when the message came up and when I clicked okay on it. mIRC does not crash.

What is likely to be the problem, and why do I keep getting this error, how do I fix it?

Do you use dll's for something? Try disabling some scripts/dll's you suspect and see if the error still appears. My guess is some faulty dll, since I've never seen mIRC crash that way.
There have been some ways to crash mIRC using scripting only, but those crashes don't give a message box, mIRC just disappears then...

Like I said mIRC didn't crash, it just stops.

I don't suspect any dlls or scripts, but I have disabled my winamp script.

There must be some kind of routine where this error will appear under certain cercumstances...

Any ideas?

Runtime Error 203 - Heap Overflow Error

Something is playing in memory fields that exceed the heap allocated size.

And that means what exactly? wink

It seems to have not done it for quite a while now...

Ever since I fixed a problem with nero/other audio related software.

I've never experienced anything like this before.
