Forums mIRC Help A different connection problem (I think)

So I never actually get any error Here's what it looks like. It seems to connect fine, but then it just sits there and eventually disconnects with the "closing link" line. I'm not sure if this would be a port problem (I've tried dmz server settings, and right now all the recommended ports are wide open) or what. Let me know what you think.

Oh, and if there is already a more specific answer to this on the forums, just post the link. I didn't know what to search for and my just looking through the posts didn't help much.

It looks like severe lag to me. Try connecting to a different
server on the network or try connecting using a different
port.

/server irc.protium.org:6668

I connected instantly using port 6668 so if you still
have the same problem, the lag is on your end.
