Forums Connection Issues Router Configuration

Hi I'm using WinXP and a Dlink DI604 Router. XP's fire wall is open to Mirc and I can download files from the channel But no one can download files from me. I've set the DMZ and configured Port Forwarding and allowed ports through the routers fire wall but still no-one can download from me.

If anyone has any suggestions I'd be greatful

You also need to set mIRC to only use the same
DCC ports that you forwarded in your router config.
If you don't, and leave mIRC at 1024 - 5000 then mIRC
will be trying to use ports that are blocked by the router.
options (alt+r) > connect > options > advanced button

Also, you need to allow the same ports in the XP
firewall, or whatever software firewall you're
using, that would explain why it still won't work
even with your machine added to DMZ.
