Forums Connection Issues Autokilled

Firewall: off
Connection: cable modem

I have never used mIRC before,so i tried connecting to a server and it give me this message:

Looks like your ip or the whole subnet was banned for some reason or another. basically you can't get on. and that website listed for assistance is no longer a website sorry

Please do not help with evading bans placed on servers, for all you know this ban IS aimed at the original poster. Regardless of whether it is or not doesn't give a user the right to evade a ban, sometimes IRC can be unfair. Furthermore, nobody has any right to evade bans on a server that have been placed by the owner of the server or those who operate the IRC network.

By the way, a /kill does not ban you, you may be thinking of a /kline.

It may not be aimed at you, but rather, your entire ISP. Either way, the only people to remove it are the people who run the network/server, that's all you can do. Check out this thread for information.

Mentality you are being rediculous. People who do something to deserve getting banned already know how to evade them.

What Chris said was correct. If anything, what you said was utterly ridiculous and a waste for your first post on the forums.

The best thing the original poster can do is go to the network/servers homepage and e-mail the admins orget advice from the forums.

If it was a ban on that specific IP address then they werethe weakest link and should go on a different server with perhaps a better attitude.

Quite how you came that conclusion is beyond me. Why would someone who doesn't have IdentD installed know how to akill evade? Why would someone who can press the up key and press enter (i.e. a flooder) know how to ban evade?

And anyway, let's not act as if ban evading is a difficult or knowledgeable act, an 8 year old could do it. However, the point is, it achieves nothing other than getting a wider ban set on the user (therefore, affecting other innocent users), and your ISP being contacted.

Please do not say that my posts are ridiculous, or anyone elses for that matter, when they are clearly not. Thank you!
