Hi

I have been using mirc for ages on broadband but recently changed from a bb modem to a router. I can no longer connect to mirc but dont know if there is anything setup incorrectly as i dont have problems with anything else.

When i try to connect it stalls at "no ident response; username prefixed with ~"

Using XP Home, with XP firewall (mirc is added to exceptions), router is aceex AWgR/2

Any ideas?

When you start using a router, you're placed behind something called NAT (Network Adress Translation). You could actually forward port 113 on your router to your machine to get ident functionality, but the truth is there probably isn't a problem at all. Just sit down, grab a coffee and wait, and you'll most likely get connected.
