Hi! I have a problem: when I open mIRC, I usually get disconnected after 15 minutes no matter what I do. It happens very often when I try getting/sending files using DCC.
Things that could help you help me:
- I have a network setup at home (2 desktop + 1 laptop)
- My router is DLink DI-604, correctly set for mIRC DCC sends/gets (since I can get any file except I get disconnected after the download has begun)
- I am almost always downloading files using a BitTorrent client; it seems this may be the problem but I still can't stay connected on mIRC even when I close the BitTorrent application.
Finally, I would like to ask you NOT to tell me it's not the forum's purpose to answer threads concerning illegal downloading because I just want to know if mIRC could be the cause of the problem or is it just the router or the BitTorrent? Thanks!
