Forums General Discussion keyword channel mode?

How exactly do you use the +k mode? I tried typing /mode #jc +k 1928, then typing /join #jc 1928 and it said that no such channel exists, then i typed /join #jc and it said cannot join #jc (+k). What am i doing wrong. Im using a dice server on windows xp. I know because its my server, so if there are any problems with the way the server is set up, i can fix it.

maybe you have some join alias, try "quote JOIN #channel key", and "!join #channel key" may also work..

Didnt work, i still cant get it to work.
