You may find yourself able to connect by using some of the ip addresses
here - just quickly testing I was able to connect to 208.53.133.187. The 'cant assign requested address' is probably a result of the 0.0.0.0 ips that are being returned by DNS in a (probable) attempt to divert attacks (dalnet did this too when it was being attacked).
