May I suggest you don't use mIRC as a file trading program? Downloading movies is illegal and a quick way to get a virus.
Going to chat channels will often almost eliminate your encounters with colours. Going to lame warez channels is going to increase your chance of coming across lame behaviour. mIRC is not another version of KaZaa despite what you may have heard or otherwise been led to believe.
If you are determined to misuse mIRC or endanger your own system however (and others), you may find the options in ALT+O > IRC > Messages helpful.
