From personal experience I have found that on
several occasions Norton AntiVirus has not detected a virus/trojan on my system and yet
AVG has. As I said, no ONE virus scanner can detect anything even if they are famous and cost a lot of money!
As a side note, to make things easier, perhaps you might want to set Windows XP to
automatically update as there are going to be continuous updates over the coming weeks, and soon enough the Service Pack 2 (SP2) release for XP.
