Forums Developers need help with calculating these figures in irc

ok, what I want to do is as follows

.Price Breakdown:/.Who $$?="Paste Your Purchase Here:"

when the box opens, something similar to the following would be input by the user

"You purchased 1000 Residential for $3,445,000 (including tax)."

Now, here's the fun bit

i want to spit out the following using the "1000" and the "$3,445,000 " values

Unit Price (Government Dependent): Demo $3445 Comm: $3131 Other: $3250

where demo has 0% tax, Comm has 10% and Other has 6%

I also want to add a tick box to the first box so that the calculation can be sent to the channel including the text that was pasted into the box, or it can all remain as a private in channel message to the user

I know this is asking a lot, but I dont even know where to start for any of this stuff

some hints and tips would be much appreciated
