You've shown your feelings about denying people help or advice regarding mass/illegal file trading and, from what I have seen, been told about the policies of this board by the Moderators. It's quite clear your comment was aimed at ParaBrat's warning (and possibly tidy_trax's contribution too) about TMD.

This is a perfectly good, sensible bit of advice. When the person mentions a channel such as #TMD-Movies (Etc) it's not surprising somebody wants to make sure they know the dangers of using those channels aswell as the legalities. It's all part and parcel of the "helping" criteria - giving advice about something which could cause their computer harm, and letting them know about the meaning of IRC/mIRC.

You might aswell get used to this advice being given out, because people genuinely want to look out for people who mass file trade - it's not surprising that they do it, a lot of people are none the wiser that mIRC is in fact a chat program primarily. However, when they come here, I (and I assume many others) feel a duty to inform them of the dangers and immorals of using a chat program for illegal file trading - even moreso when the author of the program itself disapproves of it.

My 2 cents.
