Only to comment on your "facts" :
At any given time one network can show more users than another, check the next day and the order will be changed. But to say that Quakenet is bigger than DALnet/Efnet/Undernet ever were just isnt accurate. For example, yesterday on
this web page Quakenet had the most, followed by Efnet, today Efnet and Undernet are both showing much higher user count than Quakenet. Of course the DALnet figures currently are irrelevant, but i can assure you that a user count in the 100+k range wasnt out of the ordinary.
Note: my apologies for inadvertantly typing Gamesnet when i intended to say Quakenet.
