That has nothing to do with your router, if you are getting that it means your router is working perfectly. What that error means is that the server doesn't let people from your ISP or geographical region connect. This is very common on EFnet. So the solution is to try a different server (one that is closer to you geographically). Also the 255.255.255.255 has nothing to do with your netmask, it simply shows that to hide your real IP...
