Thanx for your answer, yes I had difficulty expressing what the problem is; you said

Trouble is, when I was given that command, was not told that the password is what came before e-mail addr.
Though I had noted the command, and gave what was entered as passwd (eventually this was one of my guesses) NS tells me "invalid password".
Maybe I just have to let nick expire and start over.
