When you use control + f to search for something in the script editor (search in current file only) and then use the f3 key to access the 'next' match, after finding a match with f3 that's down below enough (don't try a 10 lines script), scroll up with the mouse wheel to the top of the file, now press f3 again (makes sure there's a new match) and you'll see mIRC scrolling the editor in a manual way as though mouse wheel were being used instead of it being instant, *centered*, showing the new match. And it end up not showing the match. In this scenario, if you mouse your mouse over a channel window while it's trying to scroll, it will even end up scrolling the channel window.

1) open the script editor on a big enough script file (remote but probably works everywhere)
2) search for letter 'e' assuming that gives a lot of match (search that file only)
3) after first match is found, hit f3 a couple times so that you would need a good scroll up to get back to the start of the file
4) makes sure 3) does not end up on the last match in file
5) mouse wheel scroll up to the start of the file without clicking away the currently highlighted match
6) hit f3 again
