I am having the same problem as @leelu and I quote:
"hello,I can connect to mirc properly but cannot join any channels. this problem has been going for a few days. i don't know what could have caused it. i changed mirc versions and tried different servers but nothing changed. can't join a single channel. any suggestions please?"
