Some stuff you might need to know:
-Windows XP
-Direcway DW4000(networked for multiple computers through a router used as a switch; usb connection forces me to share this way)

3 days ago everything worked fine, but the electric went out and now I seem to have a problem with port numbers. This seems to happen every few months. I originally thought it was a DNS problem, but I can resolve IP's on IRC with DNS, so that can't be it. Even trying the IP, I still get the error: "Unable to connect to server (connection timed out)" Sometimes I'll get "Unable to resolve server", but that's mostly after it times out for a while. Before, I was using a specific IP and port number to connect to avoid the DNS resolving. Now, even that doesn't work and as I've said, my DNS is resolving IP's. There's a game that I play that says "Connection error: Can't connect to server. Either your port number is incorrect or the server is down." The server isn't down, so it seems to be a port number problem. I have turned off firewalls and still have the problem. I've called my ISP, but they don't block any ports. It's not a router issue as far as I can tell, either. If anyone has any ideas, it would be much appreciated. Thanks.

*edit*Now I am having DNS problems. Any ideas/fixes?
